| Winter Kiss |
|
It was the coldest night in Thandox. The winter air sent a shiver down the spines of two young guards at a chamber doorway. They were cold, but they both knew the lying stone inside the chamber was much colder than their chain armours. In
the center of this circular chamber, there was lying a superrealistic
stone statue. Well known in the Great Land, the beauty of the statue
lady was so breathtaking, even the Dwarven God, Rokinghammera, would
be dumbfounded for it. Tonight, a young knight in full plate armour
kneeling besides her. Flashing the joyful and unforgettable moments
with the living lady in his mind, Zard Karminoque removed his gauntlets
and gently wiped her cold face. Though his fingers were icy buring,
he did not return his hand. It was he who could tell how warm, delicate
and soft of the face it used to be. It had been a month since Princess Belle turned into a stone statue by a dreadful chill touch of a Darklord in one of the three hells. Zard kissed her lips. With tears in his heart, the young knight swore to the frozen princess, "From the brightest sky to the darkest sea, In the name of the Holy One; When the dragonbreath covers the spring scent, and the satan horn drowns out the summer lullabies; When the humans cry for the autumn moon, and the welkin weeps over our winter kiss; Whate'er nightmares you have, My heart will be right here ... ... with you." Zard walked out the chamber and started his long epic of destiny. |
